Deschutes Jasper hails from an area east of Biggs Junction, in the state of Oregon, USA, named after the nearby Deschutes River.

While this variety of picture jasper is no longer mined due to its location beneath a highway within a state park, it is renowned for its remarkably detailed landscape patterns.

Displaying hues ranging from brown, rust brown to cream, and occasionally hints of blue-gray, Deschutes Jasper often evokes desert landscapes under a blue sky.
